从长远视角审视，On Thursday, federal prosecutors charged the company’s co-founder Yih-Shyan “Wally” Liaw with participating in a scheme to illegally move servers containing Nvidia graphics processing units valued at approximately $2.5 billion into China. The indictment alleges that Liaw, along with Supermicro’s Taiwan-based general manager Ruei-Tsang “Steven” Chang and an intermediary named Ting-Wei “Willy” Sun, used a Southeast Asian corporation as a conduit to deliver servers equipped with prohibited Nvidia H200 and B200 GPUs to Chinese clients.
